Send a few Chinese or Indian tourists up a snowy mountain in Europe and film what they film. That’s exactly what Swiss filmmaker Isabelle Haecki did and this short film is the result. Special Run is enthralling because of its quick changearounds. It confirms all our preconceptions about Asian tourism and a conversation ensues between Haecki and her fellow passengers, one Chinese tourist even wants to matchmake her with his travelling companion, and sometimes it just gets lost in translation: We have two cats. Kids? No, cats! Now and again we catch a glimpse of the scenery around Mount Pilatus through the condensation of the windows of the cable car.
